A memorandum of understanding (MOU) exists between the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation (DHSR) and the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (DPI). Under this agreement, DPI manages high school Nurse Aide I training programs.
North Carolina high schools may offer state-approved Nurse Aide I training through DPI’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Health Science programs.
High school training programs must meet the same requirements as all other state-approved Nurse Aide I training programs in North Carolina.
