  5. How do I get listed on the registry?

    The North Carolina Home Care Specialty Training Program for Nurse Aides Registry began in 2012.

    Individuals must be listed on the North Carolina Nurse Aide I Registry as a Nurse Aide I and completed the North Carolina state-approved Home Care Specialty Training Program for Nurse Aides.

    Training programs should submit your name to the Division of Health Service Regulation to be added to the registry.

    There are no registry fees.

  7. How long does it take to be listed on the registry?

    Individuals are listed on the North Carolina Home Care Specialty Training Program for Nurse Aides Registry within 5 business days after the training program notifies the Division of Health Service Regulation that the individual successfully completed the course.

    You will not receive a card.

  15. How can I report name/address changes to the registry?

    You can report changes to the Division of Health Service Regulation by submitting the  Registry Change Request Form .

    You will be asked to voluntarily provide your Social Security Number (SSN). This number is for record keeping and registry identification purposes only. Your SSN will remain confidential and will not be disclosed to the public.

    All documents submitted to the registry may be verified with the  issuing source .
