Geriatric Aides must be listed on the North Carolina Nurse Aide I Registry prior to being listed on the North Carolina Geriatric Aide Registry.
Community Colleges should notify DHSR of the individuals who successfully passed the North Carolina state-approved Geriatric Aide training program to be listed in the registry. Community Colleges should include the North Carolina Nurse Aide I Registry listing number of each individual when notifying DHSR.
There is no expiration date associated with the North Carolina Geriatric Registry.
There are no renewal requirements associated with the North Carolina Geriatric Registry.
North Carolina does not list individuals who completed Geriatric Aide training by reciprocity, endorsement, or transfer from other states.
It is the responsibility of the Geriatric Aide to update their name and contact information in the registry. Click here to obtain the Name and Address Change Form.
